Elderly Song-gil, a liturgist, decides to partner with a large-scale liturgical company, Happy End, to take care of his paralyzed son, Ji-hyeok, who is under financial pressure. When the owner of a noodle store, who provided free meals to the tourists, dies suddenly, Song-gil, who wants to organize a decent funeral for him, falls out with his partner, who only wants to cremate the body in accordance with the government's regulations, and has to secretly help the employees who benefited from the owner of the noodle store to organize a funeral in the city hall square.
Eun-sook, a single mother with a tragic past, has only one wish: to live a good life with her daughter, but her job search is blocked by a scar on her face. When Eun-sook moves in next door to Song-gil's family and becomes Ji-hyuk's caretaker by chance, she gradually opens up Ji-hyuk's heart, and reminds Song-gil of the reasons why he is in the funeral business. Eun-sook and Song-gil, two originally unrelated people, have a chance to tell their life stories due to their brief contact. Will they be able to fulfill their wishes under the current circumstances and resources?
